Most of Life is History

Yes, there is the Present, and yes, there is the Future and they deserve our utmost attention and focus. But let's face it, most of life's history… ours, mine, yours and theirs is Past.  What do we do with it?  The Present is easy… It's now, right now… Just a second or two.  Then it becomes history, our Past.  The Future can be anything and is unknown… but it is shaped by our Past.

We, our country, our businesses, our families cannot divorce ourselves from what we have done. Some of it is good and memorable, and some of it is bad and memorable.

We cannot escape it… The triumphs and mistakes.

The wise ones amongst us learn from our Past and build on our triumphs.

The foolish among us ignore history and repeat their mistakes.

It’s that simple.

DECISION TREE for Members of Congress Deciding on Their Votes for Bills

In Defense of the Gun

Some pathology lies within our American culture.

Evidence of this disease…… road rage, rape, corruption, lying politicians, no-limit or entitlement mentality, child molestation, permissiveness, graphic videos, infidelity, porn, burglary, graffiti, etc. etc.

Notice…. None of the above requires a gun. Eliminating guns in our society would not prevent any of the above.

It is the sickness in the American mind and character that is the cause of these horrendous crimes. A gun, knife, pen, penis, or voice are just the implements of the crime.

Solution: how can we heal the American psyche:

  • Re-establish character-building in our schools
  • Solidify the nuclear family at home
  • Reinforce the importance of Judeo-Christian values
  • Eliminate the pervasive and harmful concept of “political correctness”
  • Reveal the hypocrisy in our public policies and representatives
  • Condemn the violence in our movies and videos
  • Applaud the proven concept of taking individual responsibility for our actions.
  • Respect the life of the unborn human more than the life of a cute little puppy dog or tree.

I am sure there are many more ideas to help heal our nation without stepping on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, or 10th Amendments of our U.S. Constitution!
